For a man in almost his thirties, Eric was quite shy and nervous when it came to love and crushes. He has been visiting the tea shop quite often, not necessarily for the person working there, at first at least. He simply enjoyed the atmosphere there for some reason. Learning about people working there along his visits it took him quite a while to realize he somehow grew a crush on one of the employees.
Valentine’s day was a perfect day to show his appreciation for the said man. Making sure it was the shift he would be working alone, Eric picked out the flowers and went ahead towards the shop before the opening time. He stood there only for a moment though before leaving only the flowers behind. The anxiety and nervousness that were growing in him couldn’t let him see the man’s face. What if he didn’t even know I exist? It would be so awkward. The thoughts in him were clouding up so he decided to come back later for his usual tea.
And so he did. Not too long after the opening Eric walked inside, having a look around and noticing the flowers already set up in a vase. In one way he felt happy that they weren’t thrown away on the other hand he couldn’t not feel embarrassed for leaving them behind. He then quietly took his seat, looking through the sets of teas.

Eric’s eyes wandered around Junhong’s back, looking for any scratches or cuts. Who knows what the younger has gone through before he found him. With slow gentle touch he washed his back, cursing at himself from even letting the younger leave his place. “You said you will be fine. That you’re safe.” He mumbled. There’s really no words to describe how he felt finding the other dirty, on the bench with ripped clothes. God only knows how long has he been wandering like this in the cold, when was the last proper meal he has had. “Let me finish washing your back. I’ll leave to let you wash the rest then alright? You have clothes and towel ready on the shelf. I’ll make you something to eat..” he continued to run the sponge along the younger’s back with another sigh.
