@ohstarlings ME TOO! Where you on LJ? I was a pretty active ff writer over there for QAF those days... @apositivelifeaffirmingway I love it. Brian still continues to be my favorite character ever. Maybe. (Probably.) (That was me on anon too, btw! lol)
Hi!!! Glad to see you off anon! :) Yes, Brian Kinney was/is one of my favorite characters in fiction, too! Which is funny, because I tend to not like his type, so it was quite a departure for me to fall so in love with him! (Thanks, Gale Harold!) 😊

Qaf was one of my earliest fandoms, back in 2004.

Well if you look into Max's past you find out that he appeared out of nowhere with two other kids. So if he would be an alien his siblings would have to be as well, I guess.
Oh sure - that all makes sense. It’s just surprising to me he figured out anyone of them were an alien in the first place, in what we are to assume is about a week’s time? But maybe I shouldn’t be surprised since Jesse seems so single-minded in his focus!

But it's super frustrating when they can do some really great stories (the csa, aside from a few little things, was pretty great, especially by HOs standards) and then continue to turn out absolute crap otherwise. If they'd just put a forth of the effort they put in the good ones into everything else, it all might be tolerable. lol
Totally agree. It’s obnoxious how it can be quite good and also so bad at the same time. Just a little effort for all characters would go a long way!

It is SO frustrating. But seriously, after living through the 2014-2015 HO era where literally it was every single character every single episode having a different personality, currently it doesn't even compare lol But it drives me crazy that there's about one story each week that I actually care about and isn't complete shit character or plot-wise. Like, if you can make an effort for some aspects, why can't you make an effort for all of it???? Alas trashiest trash.
LOL that sounds like hell. I’m glad I only care about five characters. Makes watching this show so much easier when I can skip over entire chunks of it! But it is wild, how there are these occasional great stories, interspersed with the very common terrible ones.
