Dustin woke up somewhat early for the summer. He checked his digital alarm clock. 10:34am. Perfect time to get up. Sure, he loved sleeping in but today was a Monday and that meant one thing, his day off from the arcade. He threw together a quick outfit made up of an orange t-shirt, his classic blue, white and red hat and a denim vest top.
He said goodbye to his mom and the new cat before grabbing his bike and wheeling his way out of the driveway and over to Will’s place. The tires ran against the road smoothly, the soft crunch of stones on the tires in the morning sun. He felt a cool summer breeze wisp it’s way over his ears and through his curly hair.
Dustin pulled up outside of the Byer’s home and wheeled his back around back. He made his way to Will’s window and began tapping on it in a musical knock. “Hey Will! Wake up sleepy head!” He called, grinning.
