cory had been a child actress, successful even as a teenager until she inevitably decided she needed to focus on school, pulling herself away from the spotlight and going to university for several years, coming out with a masters degree in economics. the limelight was back on her when she did her latest movie, and while a show had already started production, she was brought on as a last minute cast member. on her first day on set, she knew hardly anything about the show other than the script, and when the director told her to say hi to her costar, she turned around and held out her hand before she realized it was none other than andy: her childhood best friend who she eventually lost contact with. “holy shit, no way,” she said excitedly, replacing the hand shake for a hug instead. “what a fucking coincidence. how are you?”
