Kai didn’t exactly know what to expect from being fed on the first time, maybe for it to be a similar sensation to getting his blood drawn at the hospital. However, when Ophelia sunk sharp fangs into his flesh and he pushed away his own worries that she’d betray and kill him on the spot, what he was met with was something much more euphoric in nature. The puncture causing discomfort at first, and then tapering off into a strange calmness and warmth. Not that anyone would be able to tell from the cult leader’s facial expression. Kai was usually blankly staring off at the far corner of the basement while Ophelia had her fill of blood, and today was no different. 

“ Hm? “ The cerulean-haired man blinked a few times, being brought back into reality by her voice. His gaze flicks back to Ophelia, noting the prominent red staining of his own blood on her lips. When the attention is brought to his face, he’s able to feel the small smudges and droplets on his skin, not bothering to wipe at them when she tells him to hold still. 

“ Your contribution to this movement has been impressive. “ Kai finally states is a calm yet chilling tone, as if that’s what he’s been pondering the entire time she fed, her usefulness. “ I have to admit, I was skeptical of you following through at first. “

If she wanted to know all the details of what her undead existence entailed, and if he was going to be the one to explain it to her, then she was going to get it the way he would tell it. The way he’d always been told it himself, a little edited, a little abridged. His own life experiences mixed in. Because he’d been around his share of vampires. He’d seen what they could do, the damage and carnage they could cause. The death, decay. She needed to see, to know what it was to lose control. He couldn’t trust her, and she had to see that she couldn’t trust herself, either.

       ❛  there  was  blood  everywhere.  ❜  his  tone  exaggerated  as  he  gives  a  vague  hand  gesture  around.  of  course,  he’s  not  horrified  by  the  image,  though.  instead  he’s  mostly  just  hungry.  ❛  no  one  ever  takes  into  consideration  a  hungry  vampire  around.  terrible.  ❜  he  forgets  that  would  require  people  to  know  about  the  existence  of  vampires.
