I love how many times this tumblr post was reposted, it was originally posted here, then a Instagram meme account reposted it, then someone made a TikTok reading the Instagram screenshot, then someone put the TikTok in a YouTube video, and finally I screenshotted it and reposted it to tumblr
Tomorrow I’ll be updating the Wattpad Reposters Spreadsheet with some of the content I’ve been collecting.
If you’d like to help, REBLOG THIS POST. REBLOG THE CRAP OUT OF IT. Let’s help these writers take charge of their reposted content. ❤️
If you are in ANY of the following fandoms:
- Naruto
- BTS/K-Pop
- Voltron
- 5SOS
- One Direction
- BNHA/MHA
- Supernatural
- Marvel
- Harry Potter
- Fifth Harmony
- Shameless
- Misc Celebrities
And you would like me to notify you if I come across your content, please send me an ask with the following:
- Your platforms & handles
- Your fandom(s)
- how you’d like to be contacted if I find your content (message, post the ask with an answer, Discord (please provide your Discord so I can reach out), Instagram, Facebook are viable options.)
- Additionally, if you have links to your profiles, even better; this will make searching and cross-checking for your content so much easier, as sometimes this stuff is unidentified or uncredited!
Things I Wish I Knew Earlier In Fandom But maybe these will help somebody now. (Edit-- well, I tried repeatedly to put carriage returns here for formatting-- but it ain't working so I'm giving up.) * Most of your fandom experience is shaped by who you follow. Find a good group of people and stick with them. * Support your favs and a lot of them will become your friends, or at least be friendly back to you. * Just unfollow people who bring unwanted content or negativity onto your dash. * Block people who cause you stress. It’s not worth your time to focus on parts of fandom that don’t make you happy. * Blacklisting words/tags is a tool you are allowed to use as much as you need to. * Don’t feel like you have to pretend to like things that make you uncomfortable in order to fit in. Set healthy boundaries for yourself. * Never tag your hate. Never send hate anons to someone. * Content creators love getting comments, seeing people gush in the tags on reblogs, and getting fans in their inbox. It’s the best way to motivate them to keep making awesome stuff. * If there’s certain content you want to see but it doesn’t exist yet, then make it. Draw the thing, write that fic. If you can’t, then commission an artist or writer, or send someone a prompt if they’re open to it. If you can’t do that either, then write meta or headcanons about it. Put it into the world. * Create what you love. Do it for yourself first and foremost, and if even one other person likes it too, then that’s a bonus.

Sorry, but that original tumbler identity name contains a string of letters that suggest a topic which makes me uncomfortable. So while I absolutely agree with the content, I can’t support sharing the original poster’s identity. (Bullet point #6)
At the same time, I can’t claim the content as my own.
I want to make clear that @coffeebeautybooks has taken multiple GIF sets and is posting them on her blog as her own. My watermarks are still on them, and my blog is still active.
They are just GIFs, but please be mindful of the time put into making these as an attempt to showcase and promote special content creators, films, and more. That is particularly the case with the Jonna Jinton sets I create--I make them to showcase glimpses of her work in hopes that others may be drawn to and support her work as well. It’s something that does still take time to create.
Watermarks are there for a reason. If the watermark does not match the poster, I strongly recommend putting the name included in the watermark into the search feature to see if that blog is still active. If not, you can usually find some indication of a name change on the blog if they are in fact legitimate.
Nobody is coming to save you. But you get to save yourself... Again, and again, and again. Be the hero in your own story. Be the person who motivates you to keep going, who picks you up when you're down, who pushes you to reach your greatest heights. If you're waiting around for someone to be this for you... You may be waiting for a long, long time. But you can start now. So why not start?
