i was inspired by @gaykakuzu‘s repo/todd art because its literally so cute i couldnt help myself

also i know i wrote “worked with” but thats because i couldnt figure out how to say that todd provided morale and refreshments for the league in a concise way adfasdf

as much as i like repo not being able to repo todd’s rv cause he’s afraid of dogs, i also would like if the reason was that his usual repoing methods (threats, being an asshole, etc) just didnt work with todd

like todds nice enough that repo being mean doesnt exactly phase him and hes really great at dodging, so repo making a fool of himself by tripping up every time he takes a swipe at todd would get repo frustrated quickly. todd’s genuine nice comments (”are you okay?” “don’t hurt yourself buddy!”) would probably be taken as mocking by repo and just make him lash out until he either 1) tires himself out or 2) gets his claws stuck in like a tree, todd helping him out, making sure he didnt damage his claws, getting repo some lemonade, etc

in other words, he tells the turtles that todd’s a big bad mutant cause he doesnt wanna admit he got completely owned and killed with kindness by a dorky looking mutant like todd

I am loving your Repo Mantis (and his cat). I like the thought of Todd becoming like the most annoying good-hearted neighbor ever - think early seasons Ned Flanders. Bringing over baked goods, offering to watch his cats for a weekend, checking in on him when he's sick. Repo at first really wants Todd to buzz off, but he hasn't had a good neighbor in ever and soon warms up to him

oh thats so cute and the exact vibe i was going for. i could see their relationship develop into repo being real protective as todd grows on repo cause he’s the 1 (one) person that would be this asshole’s boyfriend
