Feminism= Fairness. Today has been an amazing day! Not only did God bless me with a personal invitation to celebrate the centenary of Women getting the Vote at the Nottingham Racecourse but I was surrounded by some of the most successful women in Nottinghamshire. Let me tell you, the stories these women had were really empowering and made me really think about how I was going to make a change in my society. The suffrage movement is something that always astounds me! No matter what you'll think I respect the suffragettes and suffragists. The determination, tactics and passion these ladies had lead to their success. However, the right to vote was only the starting point for greatness. Women worldwide were encouraged to fight for what they believe in and that lead to changes. Although there is still inequality, this ceremony has taught me that I am an aspiring star and with help, I can become the change in our society. Women from many backgrounds have paved the path for me, including my own Kween, my mama. Now it's my turn. No our turn. We can't rest knowing that kweens like Emmeline Pankhurst, Maud Watts and Mary Church Terrell didn't. We got to carry the torch to light up the next generation! #reprentationmatters #thanksbetogod #melanin #dacba #peace #afro #womenempowerment #horserace #loveyourself #spiritualgrowth #women #Christiancommunity #Godisgreat #Christianblog #Godsgrace #believersblog #armourofGod #melanintouch #Congolese #Africangirlskillingit #smile #ChildofGod #crochetbraids #Congolese #Fashion #iamcongo #futuredoctor #plantednotburied (at Nottingham Racecourse) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp5ZpA2nma9/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1ori2vlyjkcja
