Day 22 of Black History Month! This month I’m using my platform to celebrate teachers who are often under represented or even unknown. Meet my great friend @mzdejur She is a yoga teacher in Los Angeles California who works to teach yoga in the prison system as well as to underserved communities. DeJur has an amazing energy and I love practising with her. Thank you for all you do De Jur! Posted @withrepost • @mzdejur In this pose the @gaiam Yoga Wheel allows me more spaciousness in my side bend. It also brings the floor up to my hand which adds to the accessibility and steadiness. Trying to get out of bed! I'm leaving Miami today after a great experience with @omstarsofficial. It was so much fun to be here. I am blissfully tired and a little bit sore. I hope the teachings I shared on this platform will inspire you to try yoga, do yoga, and to learn to make peace with your body. You are welcome here. Representation Matters and diversity in all it's beautiful forms is the spice of life. Those of us who feel pushed to the margins in this practice need a braver safe space to help us find centre.
