A metallic ring struck the air as mechanical tail and katana collided. The Slider ducked another blurring, whizzing thrust from the vengeful dagger-like spade. He rolled, sliding into a leap as he cut and opened the air in a flurry of blue, sparking light. - An electric blue portal snapped shut. A thud sounded quietly in a hidden alleyway. Lying on the ground, Leo gasped for breath. Grimacing, he clutched his side. Warm, thick liquid pressed against his hand. He grounded his forearm, breathing heavy as he worked to push himself up, shaking. Dust burst up silently around him as he fell from what little height he’d gained. “Donnie…” He huffed, wet streaking his face, blurring his vision. He cried in pain and regret. “What have you done…”
