New Scotland Party

I am even more convinced than ever that a new and much bolder pro-independence party is required. To be useful, this party would have to be up and running within a year, so as to be ready for the 2026 Scottish Parliament election campaign.

Scotland can only lose!

Scotland is guaranteed to get the government England votes for, regardless of how we vote. Our vote carries no weight whatever. The Union is fundamentally anti-democratic and should be ended for that reason alone.

Lesley Riddoch’s entire column is based on the risibly false premise that in the 2024 Westminster election there can be a “win” in Scotland. It’s a Westminster election. There is no “win” for Scotland. The vote in Scotland is totally irrelevant. As always, the UK government will be chosen by voters in England. Scotland’s vote will have no impact whatever. Vote for what you want, not what they offer!

Strip away the deceptive rhetoric around both the Alba and the SNP offerings and both can be seen as surreptitious Section 30 order requests. A move which would compromise the sovereignty of Scotland's people and seriously (perhaps fatally) undermine Scot

Like the SNP, Alba Party repeats ad nauseam that it is offering a ‘strategy for independence’ but fails to explain what that ‘strategy’ is beyond getting people to vote for them. Vote honourably!

It may be argued that to vote as the British system expects you to, by putting your mark next to the name of a candidate - it doesn't matter which one - you are condoning by participation a system which ensures that your vote is meaningless.

Mike Small is right! Nothing of what is being offered in this election is worthy of our support. The British state is a Tory state. You might vote the Tories out of office.
