1: In what ways has your muse changed you?
I think each muse, especially those in AU or occupations that I’m not familiar with, is a chance to research into new things. And for each muse I really try to delve into their psyche and create a 3D character with background and passions and pitfalls, so it’s a lesson in introspection too I suppose.
3: Has there ever been a moment when you were uncomfortable roleplaying something?
Usually I’d be more uncomfortable if you suddenly sprang a dramatic plot (like a murder mystery, or a disaster, or some other major event) on me if it’s not a meme starter I reblogged, or if you did it without discussing it prior with me. Otherwise, I’ve been alright with most scenarios I’ve encountered so far. I also truly do enjoy plotting, so please feel free to message me if you have any ideas.
4: What is your advice to new/upcoming roleplayers?
Have a proper headcanon - back story, personality traits, how they would react in situations, what is special to them, etc. When I first started I realized that I was a little all over the place with the information I was giving out through conversations and interactions. It helps to develop your character’s backstory before stepping in to rp. You don’t have to put the whole backstory on your about page (tbh, I usually tl;dr and just skim), but it’s good to have.
5: Is there a type of character you cannot play?
Someone who truly embodies #YOLO or a reckless/overly relaxed character. I’m personally quite an uptight person so it gets in the way of writing these characters realistically.
7: What skills have you developed (other than writing) that helps in enhancing your roleplay experience?
I’m not sure really; maybe fictional world creation? It’s the bit that comes before the writing hahaha
