hey! so i will definitely work on this fic. the idea is phenomenal and it originally comes from @keigotakamiz my bff and loverrrrrr girl! i’m only gonna write it because she’s alright with it. having author preference is no big deal, but it does kinda feel bad to have your post taken to another creator word for word. so while i appreciate your words and the request, next time you want something expanded—comment/reblog/message the original author!! a lot of the times their thirst is just the tip of the iceberg of their wonderful ideas!! sometimes they won’t feel like expanding on it, and then you could ask them for permission to take that idea to another writer.

not trying to jump down your throat, i appreciate that you think i would write this well and luckily @keigotakamiz and i are super close and she was semi-okay with handing this over to me. but i imagine it doesn’t feel super awesome. i get that you probably saw the idea bc i reblogged it, but but see the og about it next time!!

quick little note about requests in particular

I've got a list i keep track of, what requests I want to write (as when I was accepting requests, it was selective) and what not but guys, please be careful what you request. and from how many writers. it's one thing for us to willingly participate in a writing challenge of some sorts, but if you're just typing out a request, copying it and pasting it in a bunch of different writers' inbox it can actually cause some problems and tension.

if you make a request like that and i can tell (because you accidentally pasted it twice in the ask, like the one in my inbox i was just looking at) it's word-for-word the exact same thing you've asked others for and someone else has already responded with a fic, i'm not writing it out for you. you can read their work and you can actually appreciate it and them instead of turning it into your own personal who wrote it better competition. i can tell you right now it's always going to be a matter of readers' personal preference so you can knock that right off. we didn't sign up for that and it's just rude. we're not here so you can compare us to each other in a weird little game or so you can get us to farm out a bunch of fics from a singular request without notifying all of us. we're here to write, not to be compared to each other under some microscope or publicly belittled/favored for others.

it's rude, it sucks, and if i catch you doing it, i will block you.

it helps if you provide the full name of the media the character you are requesting comes from, and if you can, an image of the character (we can make a transparent png if there arent any).

Requesting etiquette

Do:

- ask politely

- ask for specific disabilities

- phrase with "this system/alter" or something similar

- ask for specific images, characters or flags to be used

Don'ts:

- demand, yell, threaten or argue

- ask for userbox colour changes

- ask for system origins

We will make:

- alter role specific boxes (ex. This caretaker is a symptom holder)

- boxes about disorders (occasionally, especially if disabling)

- boxes specific to conditions, symptoms etc

We will not make:

- anything non-traumagenic

- boxes using fanart or any images a creator did not give permission to use (official art and credited flags only)

- new boxes of different colors

- boxes not related to disorders or disabilities (introject sources, irl matters etc)

- discourse
