Hmmm. It probably has something to do with Doc Hammer.. the co-creator, writer, voice actor and editor of the series. He was the guitarist for both Requiem in White (NYC) 1985-1995 and Mors Syphilitica (NYC) 1995 to 2002 with his wife at the time Lisa Hammer.
