School Blog - Event Assignment 1
The other night, my mom used Instagram to listen to celebrity DJ Derrick “D-Nice” Jones’s virtual dance party and I tuned in as well. With the recent COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) outbreak, many people (hopefully) are staying indoors to keep from getting themselves or others sick. Several artists such as D-Nice have resorted to live streaming their music. D-Nice held a “social distancing dance party” at what he calls Homeschool at Club Quarantine.
I thought the idea was cute and my mom had a blast joining in. A lot of big names joined on the stream as well and it slowly devolved into a bunch of shoutouts and politicians trying to get on the next morning’s trending, but it was all in good fun. The music stylings were varied with a majority being hip hop, rnb, and old school rap.
