for context, Ain is a 17 year old student who stood up on tiktok for speaking against rape jokes. her teacher had made jokes about it during gym class.
she made a police report, posted in on her tiktok . the video received 1.9 million views ever since it was posted in April 2021.
upon it getting viral, she received a lot of support and a lot of backlash. people sending her rape threats, death threats, and she got a warning to be kicked out of school.
Even with the bad reaction, she is still brave enough to speak up about it a lot in her videos and started the movement #MakeSchoolASaferPlace she became the icon for many Malaysian students who demand change in the education system.
On 4th August 2021, she received a 1Million MYR lawsuit from her teacher for "Defamation act" on his jokes. where will a 17 year old get that much money in 7 days? i hope everyone seeing this will help sign the petition so it can still be some help. I do mot know if there is a donation box yet to help her but if there is I will be updating.
