She was leaving. Somewhere inside of him, he knew that.

But it didn’t change his need. His want to make her know he knew every inch of her. That he had her memorized. That she belonged here. With him. Lips met in needy kisses and he could feel her whole body shaking with the effort of something. He put that into the back of his brain space and kept himself distracted. He stripped off her clothes, revered her body with saintly touches, ghosted his lips over skin he knew and felt like it was fading before his fingertips even though she was still here. If she was going to leave, he was going to give her something to miss when she did.

Standing with her naked in his arms, he moved her to the wall, taking his pants down as he did, he settled himself between her thighs and kept his eyes in hers, pleading with her silently to stay beside him. “You’re everything.” He stated quietly. “You’re everything to me, Rebecca.” His lips met hers once more and he quietly hummed from the comfort he took of being with her, slid within her like a perfect match, a glove catching a ball, a lock and a key. Meant to be, or so he had to keep telling himself as he began to rock into her slowly. He knew the spot she wanted him to hit, he played his part.

At some point, she pushed off the wall and forced him to sit on the bed, arms entrapping him as she forcefully stole a kiss and his breath all at the same time. “Jar.... please.” Her plea was breathless but he knew what it meant. She was so beautifully close and so far away right now. He could never really catch up to her, she was always moving at the speed of sound and he was just the speed of light. But he rocked up faster, harder, until her mouth breathed life into him with a long moan and the tightening of muscles. And just like that.... he gave everything in him to her. 

Later on, wrapped up in one another, Jared laid there silent as the stars before he kissed her forehead. “Everything I’ve ever given you... all my firsts, my fears, my dreams... those are yours to keep.”

What she was doing back here, he wouldn’t ever know but he was happy she was. The guy she’d brought home, it wasn’t working. She was miserable with him, despite being free from La Push and yet somehow... somehow he was still actively waiting for her to change her mind. To choose him. As she leapt on his back, giggling, he shook his head. “Oh come on. Where’s my favorite smile?” She asked, burrowing into his neck as he waited for her tell tale heel kick to come. Equestrians. So demanding. He sighed and gave her the smaller version of the one she was looking for. “Be happy with that. It’s cold as hell out and you’ve got me right by the water.” He murmured as they went along. 

Sighing, she traced the skin on his shoulder lightly. “Were you always this warm? I can’t remember. It’s been a long time since we used to sneak into your garage.” The memory itself made his cheeks red, and he cleared his throat before setting her down again. “Yeah. A long time.” He agreed as he brushed some of the sand off his shoes. “Jar.... Come on, can’t we talk about this?” She asked, eyes pleading. He wanted to groan as he turned away from her before he turned back and got inches from her. “Tell me you don’t miss me. I know you don’t miss home, but me? How did you just leave like that?” She didn’t say anything, a little too shell shocked to really respond he guessed. A once in a lifetime moment, really. “I have been here. Waiting. For you to make up your mind.” Shaking his head, he bit his lip. “I thought you wanted me. And now... now I have to be this close to you and know....” His lips almost graze hers as he leans in. “That I can’t have you.... And you.... you’re fine. But what do I do?”

            SHE’S  AT  A  LOSS.  the  moment  she’d  opened  the  door,  violet  had  been  thrown  back  by  the  smell  of  death.  blood,  decay...  someone  had  died  in  her  home,  that  much  she’d  known.  with  her  mother  gone  but  her  scent  the  only  one  she  can  catch...  did  that  mean...  no,  she  didn’t  want  to  think  about  it.  deep  down,  deep  down  she  knew  but  until  she  could  know  for  sure,  until  there  was  a  body,  she  wouldn’t  believe  it.  not  even  if  the  rotted  heart  in  a  box  had  no  other  scents.  she  can’t  shake  the  sight  of  dried  blood  smeared  across  her  walls,  a  nickname  for  herself  that  was  carefully  drawn  for  her  eyes.  a  personal  attack...  was  this  her  fault  ??  the  smell  had  gotten  to  be  too  much  to  handle  and  so  she’d  collapsed  outside  on  her  porch.  her  phone  shakes  in  her  hands  as  she  texts  a  few  people,  unable  to  tell  through  tear  filled  eyes  what  they  actually  say.  it’s  when  her  phone  vibrates  and  she  sees  lucinda’s  name  that  her  heart  does  somersaults.  she  answers  and  isn’t  able  to  speak,  scared  that  if  she  admits  what  happened,  it’ll  have  to  be  real.    ❝    something’s...    ❞    violet’s  voice  cracks  and  she  shakes  her  head,  letting  out  a  deep  sigh.    ❝    wrong.    ❞

since coming back from the dead something had shifted about his attitude. he still hated what he was but the depression and angst had eased up somewhat, at the very least he smiled more often. “really? do you feel like telling me some of these thoughts?”

                       THE  WORDS  ARE  ENOUGH  TO  TURN  her  cheeks  a  deep  shade  of  red,  causing  violet  to  lift  her  hands  up  and  hide  her  response.  she  won’t  ever  see  what  lucinda  sees,  if  that’s  how  she  perceives  violet  davenport.  there  are  many  flaws  and  imperfections  that  violet  thinks  about  constantly,  usually  her  insecurities  and  inability  to  keep  people  in  her  life  for  a  long  enough  period  of  time.  the  fear  of  never  being  good  enough  and  with  the  supernatural  world,  turning  into  the  monster  she  knows  she  becomes  on  full  moons…  only,  becoming  that  every  single  day.  she  rarely  voices  these  concerns  aloud,  only  the  mistake  of  breaking  a  few  dishes  on  her  shift  causes  violet  to  be  cruel  to  herself  under  her  breath.  of  course  lucinda  would  hear.    ❝    nothing  is  perfect,  lucinda.  if  anything  was,  you’d  make  the  list  before  i  did.    ❞

In My Blood | Jared & Becca | Flashback

Jared was never really one to see red. But lately, it just seemed his blood was always boiling. It had only been a short time since his first shift, and he was incredibly vulnerable to his emotions. So when he saw Rebecca, for the first time since she just up & left, a mix of things swelled in his chest. He moved forward, hoping that when their eyes met maybe just maybe he’d feel it. That thing Sam told him about. But when their eyes met, she just stared back. The shift had changed him. Radically. He wasn’t particulary muscular before, but now, he was all bulk under tan skin. His hair, nearly shaved down. It was like she was looking at a new man, but she wasn’t alone.

That’s where things got a little touchy for the new shifter. He smelled him, all over her. His eyes scanned her for changes, any little thing and- he saw it. The gleaming ring on her finger. Moving forward, she bit her lip. “Jar....” His eyes narrowed slightly. “So... this is the big reveal. The reason you up and bailed on everyone. Jacob. Your dad.” Me? “Couldn’t bother to tell us all what it was about though, huh?” His eyes met the strangers and he felt his arms shake. Enormous effort kept him planted still, chest puffing just a bit. Sam was nearby, but not close enough at the present moment. If this dude said or did something stupid- “Oh, let me guess.... you’re the high school honey, right? Man, babe. I’d almost be worried.” Ah, there it is. A snarl ripped out of Jared, enough to make the man jump back. “Jared.” Her voice literally commanded him like some sick puppy before she shoved him back. Right into Sam’s hold. “Let’s go.” He warned his beta. Instinctively, Jared flexed but looked down to Rebecca. “Guess he gave you what you always wanted. A ticket out.” The bitter sentiment was all he said before he was pulled back and away by his alpha. He’d head to the woods to lick his wounds later.
