A few of the men from the rescue crew at Flyvholm on the West coast of Jutland. This coastline was generally referred to as the “Iron coast”. Just this rescue station alone is estimated to have saved more than 700 lives.

I don’t know when the photo is from, but the wests of this type were introduced in the 20ties

Rescue crew pulls survivor from rubble 5 days after Nepal quake

A teenage boy was pulled, dazed and dusty, from the wreckage of a seven-story building in Kathmandu Thursday that collapsed around him five days ago when an enormous earthquake rocked Nepal.
