Super sad news... #RIPElliot #Repost @whitneyblanche with ・・・ Bad news today. My sweet little Elliot passed away. His vets did everything they could for him but he has been getting sicker and he was starting to suffer. I could see that he was so tired. Today we made the decision to end his suffering. I was there with him and although it was hard I was so grateful to have him snuggle into my arms one last time. Elliot update! #Repost @whitneyblanche ・・・ Elliot spent the day at the vet yesterday to try to get some answers on his health issues. His blood work showed anemia and infection. We don’t know what is causing this yet but first course of action is to clear up that infection! He is on multiple antibiotics for 7 days and we will reevaluate then. We’re also syringe feeding him wet food to try to get his weight up. Today he had his first feeding while wrapped in his little kitty robe and he loved it! Hopefully his love for this food will help him put on some weight. He’s currently sitting at 1.6 lbs, which is very abnormal for an 11 week old kitten. Elliot needs your well wishes. We don’t know exactly what is up with this little guy, but as well as his developmental delays, he’s not feeling himself today. Elliot has another vet appointment tomorrow, and hopefully we can get him feeling better. This wee kitten will likely be a special needs cat in some form...though we’re still not sure in what capacity. He has a few of the same traits as @iamlilbub but not as severe. Feel better Elliot! The good news is his heart is no longer showing signs of a murmur, which means the hole may have already closed! The not so good news is that he is not developing like a normal 10 week old kitten. He is very small and while Ezra is getting bigger every day he doesn’t seem to be growing at all. His favourite pastime is sleeping and he rarely plays. His favourite thing to do is cuddle up on a warm lap and nap the day away. He’s very short with a plump belly and wide facial features. All these characteristics make him the most adorable kitten ever! But they’re also very concerning. He has been given strong dewormers to see if that will improve anything and we have a follow up appointment next week to determine next steps to figure out what’s going on with this cute boy. Now that her babies are running around the room and not depending on her so much she’s really coming out of her shell. She’s still shy with anyone new, but she’s very sweet with me.
