ADOPT, DON'T SHOP
There are many dogs and cats in shelters & pounds that need your help. I highly courage you if you're looking for a pet, please choose to adopt. Many dogs and cats in shelters and pounds that are waiting for their furever homes. Most of the time if they can't find an adopter, they're being put to rest through euthanasia or gun shots. They deserve a second shot in life. They never asked to be a stray or surrendered or abandoned. It's the responsibility of their owners to take care of them however many pet owners only take in these animals because they're cute, etc. but as time goes by, they will leave them to fend themselves off the streets.
The number of strays increase solely because of irresponsible owners. The number of unwanted litters increase everyday because most owners won't have their pets spayed or neutered.
So, please, instead of buying from your local pet shops or breeders, visit your local pounds and shelters. Many of them awaits you to give them a chance in life. If we can have more people adopt, advocates and rescuers can rescue more animals.
These animals will be forever grateful to you. They will shower you with love, kisses, and loyalty. There's no love better than the love given by a rescue cat or rescue dog.
