Job Description:

Reser’s Fine Foods is one of the nation’s premiere manufacturers of high-quality refrigerated foods including deli salads, side dishes, chip dips, tortillas and Mexican snacks for families across the United States and Canada. Reser’s manufactures thousands of products! Some of our brands include Reser’s, Mrs. Kinsers, Don Pancho, Baja Café, and Stonemill Kitchens. You will see our mouth watering products in supermarkets, restaurants and local outlets across the nation!

Coordinates environmental health and safety programs and policies at a food manufacturing plant.

Coordinates and manages production safety programs and policies.

Coordinates administrative activities of the Process Safety Management Plan and Risk Management Plan(s).

Develops and provides safety related resources and training.  Maintains related tracking documentation.

Incident Investigation – workplace injury/property damage. 

Facilitates facility safety committee activity and meetings.

Maintain OSHA 300 log, where applicable.

Provides plant tours and safety audits.

Conducts and reports environmental testing, where applicable.

Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility.

  Qualifications:

Requires  3-5 years’ experience of Occupational Health and Safety, preferably in the food industry.

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational (Environmental) Health and Safety or related field is preferred.

Must have knowledge of Federal and State OSHA/EPA requirements.

Bilingual – English/Spanish, a plus.

Additional Info.:

Office and production environments – Indoors and outdoors.

The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.

Occasional exposure to hazardous materials and noise.

Ability to work independently and autonomously.   

May require long periods of standing and walking.

Travel up to 15% of the time.

Weekend work and off shift work may be required.

Occasional lifting with packages in excess of 35 lbs.
