The Programs of the Fort Bend County Medical Reserve Corps
A chemical engineer and business executive in Houston, Texas. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Anurag Gupta supports the community initiatives of the Fort Bend County Medical Reserve Corps. One of nearly 1,000 regional volunteer units of the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC), the Fort Bend County MRC began serving the residents of Fort Bend County, Texas, in 2007. The organization is dedicated to improving existing public health infrastructure and providing outreach assistance to populations with barriers to health services. In the event of a disaster or a local emergency, the Fort Bend County MRC works in conjunction with the Fort Bend County Health Department to staff public health facilities. In 2016, the Fort Bend County MRC sponsored a range of educational programs including an MRC orientation meeting, a CASPER operational readiness webinar, and multiple training sessions in areas such as technology and safety.
