I was tagged by Matt or fivethousandmeters to give five random facts about me and then tag my 10 fav followers so here goes!
). My friends call me a “witch” because of my ability to read faces and people. I can pretty much read what anyone is feeling or thinking based off of little changes in their ears, smile, and eyes. It is super fun to look around a class room and see what others are thinking about and know exactly how they are reacting to something without them saying a word or showing a lot of emotion. It is great until I see something I never wanted to see. I can see the pain cross someone’s face when they are hurt by another person or read the disgust when they try to hide their annoyance with someone or see the anguish in someone’s face when they try to hide the pain they are in. I have learned to recognize who to confront over this and who to let go on as though I never noticed. Sometimes a blessing; sometimes a curse.
). While I am very intelligent I am also very very very dim witted. Valedictorian I am, yet a kindergartener will know their left and right better than I. Growing up I was always ambidextrous and therefore have no dominant hand, neither left handed nor right handed. Thus, whenever someone told me the right side was the one I write with, I naturally assumed it changed sides depending on a person’s position. I learned that was not the case in 7th grade and have been trying to learn the difference ever since then.
). My excitement is growing for college because I can return to the sport I love, figure skating. I skated for five years before it got too expensive for me to continue private lessons. I was actually pretty good and I loved the sport, I was a quick learner and enjoyed the intense routines with specific combinations. It is one of my biggest regrets having stopped skating because I loved it but the money for the sport is just ridiculous. At my college there is an ice skating rink that I can use to return to my favorite past time and I’m extremely excited.
). Music is one of the most important things in my life. I am cellist and singer; music has always been a huge part of my life. It is where I made some of my best friends and have always felt at home in the music room. It isn’t just what keeps me sane but what keeps me happy. I love closing the door to a practice room and knowing it is just me and the sound waves I create that I have to contend with for x amount of time and that is wonderful. I am so grateful to my music for the people I have met and the places it has taken me.
). I LOVE my friends. I have some of the sweetest people in the world in my life and am taking my fifth fact to say how fantastic they are. I adore having someone to text well into the wee hours of the night and people who I can call up and ask to hang out in an instant. They are my chosen second family and when I make friends I rarely let them go. No matter what you do or how crazy you become I will be there for you and defend you when necessary even if we haven’t talked in years. I shield many a secrets for my friends and love being their confident because of how much trust it shows. I will be loyal to a fault to my friends and would do anything for any of them. I am so lucky to have so many people in my life that I can say I love love love LOVE!
