Kirby Fail #2

As an artist, I love to see other artists failures because you have to be willing to fail at art to learn art and it's nice to know that not everything comes out Instagram Influencer perfect on the first try! As such I like to share my failures as well. I tried to make a Kirby with red feet but painting Mica powder into this mold is going to be a pain and I don't have a super nice red but I do have a super nice metallic red paint and it's not that hard to paint into this mold. Figuring acrylic would work as long as I made sure it was dry (resin and moisture don't mix) it should work. I'd painted a test patch in another mold ages ago and it worked fine.  Welp, nu-uh. Not for this mold. The sprues on the feet are too narrow so the paint wouldn't dry, so I had to bake the mold to dry it. The paint stuck badly so it de-laminated in places where I messed with the mold too much, allowing resin in. It'd somehow trapped bubbles in the acrylic? So there's bloops on the feet and to absolutely top off the screw up I mixed too much colorant into the resin trying to get the right color so the resin started frothing, creating bubbles all around the top that not even the pressure pot could take care of.  At least the resin set?
