it had been a nice quiet evening, he had the house to himself, sonic and knuckles had been off somewhere on the town--probably doing some training with one another--and tom and maddie had been on a date night. so here he was just watching something on the television, of course ozzy was somewhere in the house, no doubt taking a little siesta. he wasn't sure what he was watching anymore, he was getting lost in working on a cellphone that had been broken.

that was when he heard a knock on the door. surely it wasn't anyone who had lived in the house, they all had keys to get in. maybe it was wade having left something from the previous game night they had.

so, when he walked over to the door and opened it up to see that it was shadow of all people--and in disarray--the fox's eyes widened with horror.

"shadow! what happened?! where did you--how did you???" he was then starting to usher him inside, ozzy began to bark because of the new intruder, but tails just shooed him away for now, saying that it was going to be alright. "just, uh..just wait here, i'll go get the first aid kit!" he voiced in a panic as he pulled out a chair from the kitchen table before rushing upstairs to look for the said kit.

The Mother, the Origin of All that is Good. And despite what Shadow may think, she is still his mother too. She had created the world, kissed each blade of grass with her sunlight.

Even from space, she was able to appear, grandeur floating from beams dancing around her back, a Divine Instrument upon her broad body. It spun slowly, as if it were the sun made into a mirror.

Ah, The Ultimate Lifeform. Amaterasu cannot help a knowing smile, tail wagging slowly, before pressing her wet snout to his cheek, rasping her red, slobbery tongue all over!!

IT HAD HAPPENED SO QUICKLY. One night, a fallen star crashed on the hills of Kamuna Cape outside of the old Island Guardian Woods. The next, a few riders who had gone to investigate the strange occurrence returned with what appeared to be an unconscious lynian of dark fur. The village, too kind to turn away the outsider, decided to take him to the medic to have him tended to until he woke up.

. . . and when he did, all hell broke loose.

Mari doesn't know the details. There were shouts, yelps and scolds as the mysterious black-and-red blur pushed its way through the village grounds, eventually navigating past the main dock and onto the solid earth that lead to the village gates. Mari, who had been tending to her Rathalos nearby, swooped into action.

Deafening the commands of riders, the stubborn teen breaks into an unruly sprint, picking up her arms in legs in surprisingly long strides for her small frame as she darts to catch up to him. If not for his injury, he probably would have been gone long ago—and its only because he was exhausted that she's able to the gate before he reaches it.

With a hitched gasp for breath, Mari digs her boots into the soil and comes to a stop. She throws her arms out on either side of her, spreading them out at full length in an attempt to act as a barricade. It wouldn't do much, but it was more a silent command to stop. "WHOA, WHOA, WHOA!"

There's a second pause. Any second longer and she might have lost the opportunity to speak to him. "Don't you go out there! Do you have a death wish?!"
