The Resolve Tour:
Tonight was mind-blowingly amazing. This evening at Avenue 209, We Do Stuff (Myself and my awesome friend Casey's musical project), The crazy-talented Megan Slankard, and the ever-wonderful Koji played. It was a night of joy, peace, and harmony. Koji, on the Resolve Tour (more on that below), stopped by for a night of awareness and great music; and, like always, was received with a warm, loving welcome. Koji is a favorite at Avenue, and everyone in the small town of Lock Haven looks forward immensely to his shows. Megan is also currently on tour, and booked a show just a few weeks before tonight's show took place. We are all thrilled that she did. With her smooth voice and amazing guitar skills, she made the crowd fall in love with her. On behalf of Avenue, and all of the people present at tonight's show (There were a lot), we hope she returns sometime in the near future. The Resolve Tour, the tour Koji is currently on, which is only nearly half-way over is an amazing cause. Before the show, we watched a incredibly moving video explaining the situation in Uganda. My knowledge of it (I just learned about it tonight) is to this extent: The LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) is a rebel group that destroys everything and brings chaos to peaceful villages. They kidnap children as early as age 8 and force them to fight and kill. Congress passed a bill to give aid and help stop this horrible group, and with the upcoming budget cuts, they may cut aid to this cause. What the Resolve Tour is doing, is bringing awareness of all this to as many people as they can.
