She always tended to get like this -- moody, with a steely look, crafted like an unfeeling diamond -- when Formaggio was sent off on a solo mission, leaving her to remain at the safe house. She just wasn’t feeling all too sociable when he wasn’t present, but no such rules or moods applied when it involved dealing with her capo.

Although her request to talk to him had been in part to get away from the others, there were questions; private ones, that she wanted to ask, if only to cease them repeating in her mind at night. They always haunted her and it left her restless and even more vicious in the morning.

Trish moved to lean with her arms folded at far end of the room that she supposed Risotto must have claimed as his office or something of the sort, having not spoken a word since she entered. It wasn’t petulance that drove her, but hardship dealing with asking what she wanted. When she settled on a question, she finally turned to face him -- properly, respectfully -- with lips pursed.

“Do I have a future after we take down my father?” It’s blunt, but not harshly spoken. Said with the tone of someone who hid her anticipation of the answer with directness. “ -- I’m not just glorified bait to draw him out, am I?”

Formaggio was remarkably sober -- well, a beer can was nursed in his hands, but it remained relatively untouched as he talked with his capo. His brows raised, curiosity and almost joking suspicion on his face as he searched Risotto’s visage. He didn’t think he’d joke.. period, but, he didn’t think he’d offer that unless he was serious.

His mouth opened, already on the tip of the tongue was some joking recount of the last time he’d ever been anywhere ‘fancy.’ -- dressing up in something smart was out of the question, and his table manners left a lot to be desired. But, for once, he closed his mouth and pondered on the offer.

“Mm... you know,” he abandons the beer can on the side of the table he was sitting on, slipping off of it and offering Risotto a casual grin. “ -- I was just gonna order takeout tonight anyway, so, sure, why the hell not. Eatin’ out somewhere sounds pretty nice.”

There was part of that sentence went unsaid, of course. It was just about the meal, not at all the company he was gonna be spending it with. Of course not. Nope. 

..

... Maybe he was looking forward to it more because of Risotto than anything.

What keeps your muse up at night?

Josuke constantly things of his blood family and whether or not if they would accept him once he is finally reunited with them.  

What chronic illnesses does your muse have, if any?

Aside from Josuke’s amnesia, Kira has been diagnosed with Asperger’s.  It explains his often cold and distant personality, his fixation of the sea and green things.  Josefumi suffers from severe depression from years of being alone and neglected.  

Has your muse ever lived in poverty?

All of my current muses have come from middle to upper class families.  They are very privileged in that aspect of life and live in a city that has plenty of opportunities for career placement.

Do they have any distinct voice mannerisms? (e.g. saying ‘like’ or ‘um’ a lot, stutters)

Josuke’s voice gets high pitched and shouts when he’s excited about something.  

Where are your muse’s ancestors from? Do they keep any of their traditions?

Josuke, Jobin, and Kira’s roots are all traced back to Japanese and American ancestry.  In the Higashikata household, the first born male of each generation lives a girl until they turn twelve years of age.  It is an old superstition that the rock disease has a higher chance of affecting young boys.

Just the sound of his name in Risotto’s voice had him lapse into silence. They were both concerned but it must be far worse for their leader. Any failure would be at least somewhat his fault. They were all willing to give their life for the squad but nobody wanted anyone to die.

“I have faith.” Melone sighed. He believed wholeheartedly in his companions. They were well trained and experienced.

But... He could remember the last time they waited too long. He could remember what happened to two people he had also believed in. Two people that stayed out of his mouth for the moment, because surely Risotto remembered just as vividly as he did, just as vividly as all of them did. Because they had waited.
