This could be a reach, but I think Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal projects both the memory of his sisters and also his mother (at least in terms of physical resemblance) the most strongly onto Jimmima. Besides the cat ears and pixie wings, I think the “Mother” heart brooch Jimmima wears is quite an interesting accessory. I also personally think that Jimmima has a strong physical resemblance to Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal’s mother. Additionally, I do not think it is a coincidence that all of the Jimmy wigs have bangs, like his mother’s haircut.
I do not think Jimmima’s dealt with the burden of responsibility though, like Jimmy ink is (more or less subtly). I genuinely do believe that Jimmima would fail in Jimmy Ink’s position, like Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal himself would. I genuinely do believe he would have never survived as long as he had if he did not meet Jimmy Ink. I do think Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal has had uncomfortable moments of intimate scenarios with both warped platonic and romantic aspects with both Jimmy Ink and Jimmima, but she internalized it differently than Jimmy Ink.
In certain aspects of her relationship with Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal, Jimmy Ink is more privileged than Jimmima. In certain aspects of her relationship with Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal, Jimmima is more privileged than Jimmy Ink. I have seen people explain that it seems that Jimmima is allowed the most individuality, since she wears accessories. I think that somewhat applies to Jimmy Ink too, since she tattoos herself. However, I also think they have very unique burdens of expectations of themselves, from Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal, at the same time.
I think it can be argued that Jimmima is somewhat of a novelty for not being granted a last name. Having a stylized first name, but no last name, is an interesting distinction. I think it does sometimes work out in Jimmima’s favor: she seems to like wearing the accessories, she seems to like entertaining Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal with the dipsy dance. It does not really quite set her apart from the other cult members, in terms of doing what is expected of them from Sir Lord Jimmy Crystal. It did not save her, story-wise, from being killed, after all.
anon anon anon you are killing me you are going to get me killed i will die because of you actually dead laying on the floor blood all over
I firmly believe that every romantic and sexual subtext people get from their relationship comes from the inherit inappropriateness of it. He is an adult figure imposing himself over children without stepping in formulate the boundaries that come from this power imbalance. Is Jimmy their father? Is Jimmy their older brother? Is Jimmy their teacher? Hell, is he their husband? He's all of them; therefore hes none, so things get weird.
Since Ink been with him the longest, the feeling get even worse because she experienced each one of those dynamics individually, which is a way of saying she gets him like no one does. She saw all he has to offer, and she's not impressed or interested in it anymore. She stays because, well, her own words: i've been to anywhere, its not. I think the privileges she gets are not born out of being favored, but out of her defiance; she knows him well enough to know how far she can push, talking back is not a privilege he gives her, she just knows what she can say without getting into actual trouble.
But Jimmima is actually being favored; thats not something good, like you said, is not actual privilege, even if she looks forward to try and get on his good side; a hit is still hit, even if it gets kissed better afterwards. To me, Ink and Jimmima parallel each other in the same way a mother and a daughter parallel each other in the eyes of the father/husband.
But long story short im just trying to find prettier words to say that i agree with you and i would add that i think Jimimma is the one kid jimmy crystal actually bothered to properly groom in a long long time LMAO
