Dinner @ Milestones

Sorry everyone! It's been a while since I've last posted... =( I've been so busy... & even when I have time, I choose to fangirl my new crush (LEE JOON of MBLAQ!!!!!) hahah I've been going to my student lab & coming home everyday...except yesterday, I went to Taste of Edmonton for a little over an hr. I apologize sincerely for the lack of photos... I was too tired & hungry to stop & take photos for you. I can tell you what I ate though!

I had... fried crab + cream cheese wonton (voted as the #1 festival food of 2013), hurricane potato (yes.. I paid 3 tickets, aka $3 for a fried potato... but it was just REALLY good), Hungarian sausage & garlic bread (meh.. just wanted to try something new), & pad thai (one of my all time festival favorites!). Did any of you Edmontonians go to the festival at all? If not, there's always next yr! & if you can't wait that long to eat your festival fav, you can always go visit the restaurant =)

Ok, so earlier tonight, I went out for dinner with my family @ Milestones - to celebrate my brother's birthday, which is next Thurs. & I believe we're gonna be coming here again next month for either mom or dad's birthday, ..or BOTH (coming here twice?). It's not only one of my fav restaurants in town, but I think it's like our "go-to" place if we're wanting to eat western food... anyways, we all tried new dishes.

Brother's AAA New York Striploin (medium rare) - bro said it was a little overcooked.

Dad's certified Angus beef top sirloin (medium) - also overcooked =/

Mom's grilled chicken penne asiago - I liked it! haha the chicken breast was, me thinks, overcooked as well... (chef a little off tonight??)

I've had chicken pasta, I've had steak, I've had sandwich here... time to try their burger haha this was the Milestone beef burger with red skin fries. I have never ordered a burger at a non-fast food place before...I've always thought, "why would I order something that fast food restaurants have at a restaurant?? I have to pay so much more & I gotta tip on top of that..." lol but you gotta try new things sometimes, right? Ch-ch-ch-changeee! (ref: Hyuna's song "Change") I wouldn't say this burger has changed my perspective completely... It was, of course, tastier than fast-food burgers but it wasn't like WOWWWW! I think I will stick to my fast-food burgers...

Overall: 8/10 (just based on my burger)
