camus isn’t very good at disguising himself
Camus doesn’t seem to be a man who puts much thought into what he wears or how he looks, beyond how his appearance may reflect on his liege, so I don’t believe there’s much “personal preference” to what he wears on a daily basis. One of the things that seems to be consistent is that, even though he’s a paladin, he doesn’t seem to like wearing armor, and the only official art that depicts him wearing anything protective is this one. This might be because he forfeits defense for speed in almost all versions of his stats.
What also seems to be consistent is the inclusion of a cravat in each of his uniforms, likely to denote his military status (although the artist drawing for Heroes depicts him with a more superfluous jabot ? the two aren’t the same, and the cravat was historically worn by the military before it became a fashion piece). He wore one originally as Camus, and also again as Sirius, so this likely has more meaning in Archanea than in Valentia (where he looks more like a storybook prince ?? ). Considering how highly he values his identity as a knight, the cravat is quite important to him.
Besides that, his color scheme remains relatively consistent (either black and gold, or red and gold), despite his “disguises.” His hair style also hardly changes, the only exception being pre-Shadow Dragon, where he had a ponytail. I HC that in his younger years, Camus was much more concerned with how he appeared to others (beyond how that reflected on his liege), going lengths to look like he was a member of nobility, and thought himself to be quite important. He was humbled when he was captured and tortured by Medeus, however, and this was likely when his hair was cut.
Overall though, I think his style is more influenced by those around him than anything else, and he doesn’t do much to differ or stand out from others of the same rank. Though given how little he changes his clothing even for his disguises, I suppose an argument could be made that his personal preferences are actually so strong that he won’t wear anything else. ha
