         He hasn't spoken to Scott a lot. They all have their own demons, their own thoughts to lose themselves in. Isaac loathes to admit the niggling of shame he felt for reacting the way he did but he doesn't regret it-- only that he got caught.

And he barely remembers the motel. Remembers enough to see the freezer, hear the voices (that was the first time, the one time he tried to help but couldn't) but not much more than that.

Boyd had to restrain him-- the two of them sat shoulder to shoulder, carefully regaining their breath as they stared at the motel wall. They were quick to pack after that but not quick enough because they only caught the tail end of the fireball in the parking lot.

Too late-- if there had been no one else. They would have been too late. Isaac didn't want to think about it.

Instead, he focuses on not falling off the bike as they head back home, actual shower, actual sleep looming in their horizons. Still Isaac hasn't said anything. Not about Derek, not about yesterday.

When the Mccall residence pulls up, Isaac hops off and hands Scott his helmet. "I can't decide if I want a sandwich or shower more."
