He figured someone without the intel and means of a secret mutant laboratory might have had a harder time finding her. Even depowered and basking in the eye of public attention thanks to her natural beauty, she still had her old skill and knowledge and was as much as ghost, untouchable and unreachable, as ever when the lights went out.
But thanks to the higher ups at U.G.E.R. being just as interested as Scott himself in getting Charles the fuck back and putting an end to this abomination that this so-coalled cure had turned the mutant world into, he needed exactly two evenings to show up at the door of her secret city loft. He hadn’t bothered with more disguise than the usual necessity of a dead man walking keeping low demanded it and didn’t knock on her door with a blade or muzzle out in the open either. Not to mention that would have been counterproductive for what he was here for ... He was pretty sure, if she decided to off him the moment she would actually recognize his face without the shields he no longer needed, she could still do so in a blink no matter the defense. And Scott had a hard time caring an awful lot about his own fate since they’d brought him back. He was here because he had a job to do, and if that mission ended at this doorstep ... Well, couldn’t be worse than the last time.
“Miss me?”
