Since Sonja was a child, she has noticed dark figures lingering and/or racing past her whenever she gazes into reflective surfaces — especially mirrors — for too long.

Although she told her parents about the ominous figures she’d see, they just summed it up to her just having an overactive imagination.

When experiencing severe amounts of stress, the silhouetted figures linger in her peripherals, even if she’s nowhere near any reflective surfaces.

Has a slight phobia of mirrors.

Is a pro at putting on her makeup and doing her hair without a mirror. She’ll only take a peak at how she looks for no more than a few seconds.

Can always be seen wearing the evil eye necklace gifted to her by her  superstitious abuela.

She was very close to her grandmother growing up and thus managed to adopt a lot of the older woman’s superstitious beliefs.

Whenever Sonja’s gone through emotional events that are too much for her to handle, she turns to baking. Her abuela taught her this could be one little way she could bring brightness into her chaotic world.

What are you characters intentions in Deacon Falls?

Since the passing of her abuela a year ago, Sonja’s negative relationship with mirrors have gotten increasingly worse; she even detests looking into reflective surfaces as a whole, and it has gotten in the way of her job at the grocery store. She’s tried meeting with more than one mental health professional about her problem, but none of their attempts with exposure therapy have been successful. Having overheard about an experimental study being done on phobias and how to overcome them at the university, Sonja’s desperation to stop seeing the haunting figures just about everywhere she goes has her seriously considering volunteering herself.

KAYLEE COOPER is TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OLD. People say they look like ZENDAYA COLEMAN, but they don’t see it. They were once known as MCKAYLA HOOPER from TRAGEDY GIRLS, but now they’re just your average Villain. I’d watch out if I were you, I wouldn’t want to get on anyone’s bad side. You never know what might happen…

kaylee is from your average home, with parents who love her and a very old cat she grew up with. which makes it all the more questionable how she ended up the way she is. she loves to kill. she loves the squelching of organs when she rips through them with a weapon. she loves watching them die.

even more, she loves the drama surrounding death. everyone just gets so sad, and it’s her favorite form of entertainment.

kaylee is smart -- for the most part. she doesn’t make mistakes, and when she does, well, she’s going to fix them. 

she loves the human body and learning about it. this certainly helps her extra curricular activities.

the woman is obsessed with the deacon falls killers. you can probably find her hanging out with the paranoid freaks and conspiracy theorists of the town. they’re her favorite people, and it makes her feel all warm inside when they theorize her own kills. 

she’s amazing at pretending to empathize with people, and her smarts have gotten her thus far, she thinks she’ll never get caught.

her first kill was her neighbor when she was still just a kid. she will never forget it.

+ Nothing particular stood out in Kevin’s past that would explain his irrational fear of germs, and general uncleanliness. Even after attending several specialist about it, nothing seemed to either prevent or subside it. + On the topic of fears, Kevin has another that he didn’t understand; his distaste and overall discomfort when it came to anything to do with carnivals or circuses. He couldn’t recall a bad experience with them, believing maybe he had blocked out a childhood trauma, but never the less it was there and it had causes a few dates to fall apart over the years. + Kevin isn’t the best barista, but he does try. You can often find him holding back a curse word or two as he burns himself while making a coffee in the local cafe. Luckily he has never had any serious injuries, but his clumsiness has caused a few small incidents to occur. + Despite having dated girIs all his life, Kevin finds himself staring a little too long at some men. Is it because he’s interested in them? Is he bisexual? He isn’t sure, but sometimes a guy will catch his eye and he will end up catching himself with a lingering gaze. + One of Kevin’s favourite past times is simply enjoying the outdoors, spending time with nature rather than the presence of other people. blair is unhinged. you’d think you’d seen enough of it in deacon falls to know what it looks like, but she is on a whole other level. 

the nightmares and the voices have eaten away at her and left her a mess. 

she knew that the monster those people once made her out to be wasn’t who she was, that they made her what she turned into, and that she was innocent. 

she was a bright young girl with a brilliant future ahead of her, but as she got older, the images that plagued her of death and destruction were enough to drive her mad. 

now she’s angry and bitter and doesn’t know when to stop. 

her anger often gets her into trouble. she goes off the deep end and finds herself in trouble real quick. 

often times, it’s when she finds out about parents who are abusing their children. because she was falsely accused of killing children, she takes on a much more protective role now, and will kill parents for being abusive if she finds out. 

she came from a relatively normal family; as normal as one can be in deacon falls.

she never got any help for the persistent nightmares and trauma relating to her past life, though. because, of course, nobody really knew where those things were stemming from or how to help her. so, she never got help. 

she’s kind of hard to talk to. she doesn’t open up very easily. in school, she was always labelled as shy, and stuck with the more social children in hopes that she would open up a little more. she never really did, though. 

she has a strange obsession with teeth. don’t talk about teeth in front of her, you’ll only regret it. just don’t. 

because of this, she works as a dental assistant at the only dentist’s office in town. don’t mind her, she’s just calculating when she might be able to steal teeth from people, and who’s getting teeth pulled when. yes, creepy.

PENNY WHITHERS is TWENTY-SEVEN YEARS OLD. People say they look like EVAN RACHEL WOOD, but they don’t see it. They were once known as PENNYWISE from IT, but now they’re just your average VILLAIN. I’d watch out if I were you, I wouldn’t want to get on anyone’s bad side. You never know what might happen… 

Our lovely Penny has arrived with the deadlights of the event. Deacon Falls is a purgatory, living endlessly on a sort of loop. Characters either stop aging or don’t age. This was her rebirth to her incarnation. Before now, the purgatory had kept Penny’s life outside of its realm to spit her out as punishment for the characters during this time.

Penny doesn’t remember a life before late, (because she didn’t have one) and quite simply, she really doesn’t care. She feels... right. She knows she’s where she belongs.

She knows she has a desire to hurt someone specific, and she’s figuring out who that is. This is, of course, the Losers, and it is her main intention here in Deacon Falls.

She feels like she just woke up from a long nap. She knows in her past life she was burned badly, and she’s going to seek revenge for it.

She’s almost childlike in nature, she just wants to have fun.

It is hilarious fun to her to bite people.

The woman looooves to scare people. She practically feeds off of their fear. She can feel it deep in her bones, down to her core. Their fear radiating onto her. And when she’s the cause? All the better. 

Because of that, she’ll not only scare people for fun as jokes, but if she’s feeling particularly moody, she will do anything to dig her claws in your brain and pull out your worst nightmares. She’ll either do something with it then or hold onto it for a later time.

She comes off like she wouldn’t be so bad, but a closer look and you have a feeling she’s unhinged.

Penny is extremely sensitive. Piss her off and she will lose her top. Insult her and she might slit some throats before curling up and throwing herself a pity party.

She’s staying in ________ (unrevealed for the event). She’s not supposed to be there, but she does what she wants. 

As for plots, she obviously doesn’t have a lot of history, but I’m interested in people who think she’s deranged, people who wanna fight her, people who are terrified of her, people who are intrigued, we can plot sapphic relations, and deeefinitely stuff with other IT characters, etc!

During the event:

Penny has the ability to unhinge her jaw.

She can and will literally eat people.

She can manifest your worst fears.

Being around her is frightening.

ALEXANDRA RAMIREZ is TWENTY-SIX YEARS OLD. people say they look like BRENDA SONG, but they don’t see it. they were once known as JULIE JAMES from I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, but now they’re just your average VICTIM. HEADCANONS:

Alexandra carries around a constant feeling of guilt, sometimes wondering where exactly it came from. she tends to gravitate towards people she thinks she can “fix,” and takes it very personally when something doesn’t go the way she plans.

because of this Lex is very trusting, always believing that there is good in a person and they deserve a second chance. whether or not they deserve it.

she’s a bit of a perfectionist in that way, wanting to look out for everyone. but in a town like Deacon Falls, she’s finding it harder and harder to do.

despite, or because of, that, Alexandra is very intelligent and driven. she pushed herself to work hard through college, graduating near the top of her class and is now in her last year of nursing school.

Lex is very close to her family; they’re probably the most important people in the world to her and she would do anything to protect them.

QUINN CRAVEN is TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OLD. People say they look like SOFIA CARSON, but they don’t see it. They were once known as QUINCY CARPENTER from FINAL GIRLS, but now they’re just your average Victim. I’d watch out if I were you, I wouldn’t want to get on anyone’s bad side. You never know what might happen…

quinn is the only survivor of a brutal massacre that left all of her friends dead in a cabin in the woods, reminiscent of her previous life, where the same thing happened. there are a few key differences, like the who and why of the killings, but the where, when, and friend group remain the same.

because of her past, she runs a victim’s advocacy group in town, hoping to help people who have gone through the same things she’s gone through. she just wants to make sure people aren’t suffering anymore and are moving forward. 

she went to culinary school in new york city, where she felt like she just blended into the background, much different from the small town she grew up in. 

deacon falls is a different small town than the one she grew up in, but a small town nonetheless. 

she moved to deacon falls because this is where her fiancé is from, and she wanted to make him happy. he wanted to be closer to his family. she wasn’t really sure why he wanted to be in a town like this, though. the whole place gave her the creeps. 

she has a cooking instagram, where she posts the foods that she’s cooking, links to her cooking blog.

she keeps in contact with the sheriff who saved her life that night when she thought she was going to be killed, too. unlike her past life, though, this sheriff isn’t trying to get in her pants. he’s just a good guy who was looking out for the kid in the worst situation she’d ever been in. 

she wants to go back to school for baking, and wants to do so in paris, where she can get away from the small town feel again, if not for at least a little while.
