Lurker here! Just here to ask if you've heard of the character Heartman from Death Stranding? The guy wears a defib and stops his heart for minutes at a time before starting it again, multiple times a day, for science. I won't say more as to not get into spoiler territory, but that's the gist of him!

Couldn't help but feel like he'd be a goldmine for resus situations especially if his system was to malfunction, but haven't heard a peep of him in the community! It has me had me surprised, so I felt like sharing! :D

Do you have any irl resus experience?

Not really thankfully beyond being CPR certified (which everyone should be). Did have to give myself the Heimlich once when I choked on a butterscotch playing phasmophobia of all things when I got jumped scared. Less sexy and more a little bit funny because everyone was screaming at me as I died in the game while I was having a time of it

Number 1 and 12 for the ask game!

1. what made you interested in resus?

After some noodling can pinpoint that I saw those safety posters on the wall demonstrating the Heimlich and felt weird about it but didn’t know what that meant. I actually stumbled across like my earliest memory of a true “wow sure hope this doesn’t awaken anything in me” from a video on YouTube from like. 2010? That was titled Super Sexy CPR if I remember right. The fact they had a Heimlich version did not help matters. Years later, stumbled across some resus art/writing and came that it was not just a me thing and badda bing badda boom. Kink blog.

12. mouth to mouth or ambu bag / artificial respiration?

Mouth to mouth all the way. Love the intimacy of it and tbh medical equipment has never done a thing for me.

7. Rescuer or Victim?

Honestly I’ve wafted back and forth on this. I think both are very fun but I tend to enjoy rescuer POVs and roles the most. Does this stem from my inability to let myself be cared for? Perhaps I’ve explored victim POVs far more though since starting this blog since it’s letting me explore everything a bit more with only a little shame.

10. hard or shallow compressions?

My favorite niche is going from shallow to hard as things feel more desperate.

Why stop there? While I wash your hair we could just oh so gently hold your head under the water until your heart is racing. Let you up to gasp and choke- just barely any air before sliding your head back down
