Alguien sabe dónde puedo encontrar historias de rcp y de resucitación en español?
Today I posted on Tumblr of my own Resus fantasy story, I figured I'd do a video visual for YT, something different then usual. Let me know if you guys like ...
ok i made a YT video for my resus fantasy as well, some content i needed on there anyways.....go check it out, thoughts, tips tricks, etc comment
Fantasy heart condition:
His heart just stops frequently. If CPR is done quickly and thoroughly his survival is (almost) guaranteed, though. There are no specific triggers, it can happen anytime, somewhere between once a week and several times per day, so he can never be alone and has to be monitored at night. Between attacks he feels pretty okay, and after one weak for a few hours. When he had a few on the same day, he might be bed-bound and need oxygen.
A fantasy...
The arrest is caused by nothing more than the emotional distress of an argument with his partner, combined with a heart defect the doctors had told him wasn’t so serious. HIs partner performs CPR, breathing heavily and trying not to panic, but freaking out over the agonal gasps and the feeling of his ribs giving under the weight of the compressions, just when the ambulance arrives.
An EMT takes over compressions, and soon he is intubated and his chest is squeezed by an AutoPulse instead. He is still in cardiac arrest when they transport him to the hospital, eyes half open, going back and forth between v-fib and PEA.
In the ER they work on him for the better part of an hour until they have a pulse back. His heart has taken heavy damage - if it was ‘not so serious’ before, now it definitely is. It’s hard to tell what this has done to his brain.
Comatose, all wired up and on a ventilator in the ICU, his partner finally gets to see him again, knowing it could go so many ways, from the worst case scenario of losing him if his heart gives out again, to him maybe not waking up again or needing constant care, to a recovery that can only be hoped for...
Concept: someone performing CPR while their heart is acting up. Deep compressions while their own chest is getting tighter...
thoughts on negative pressure ventilators? maybe a fantasy where they're miniaturized, a machine fitted across the base of the ribcage... watching him gasp from an action that isn't his own, his heart still struggling to use any of that precious oxygen
cuirass ventilators are a thing! and sure a change of pace.
as for fantasy devices, they have to at least look to me like they could in theory work. so I'm bit torn about that because anything that could by any means work would cover his heart, too... maybe sneak a steth and the ECG electrodes underneath first... 🤔
so tldr: fun on their own, even when small still in the way
Ultimate resus fantasy?
Ugh I have so many it's hard to choose just one.
