If you think you're being punished for speaking up about sexual harassment at work, or fear you'd get whisked away to retaliation town if you did, you're probably not wrong.
So I wanted to share this thoughtful piece on retaliation and how to protect yourself. It gets its hard talk facts right, contains solid practical advice, and overall, I found it quite thought-provoking.
Would love to hear your perspectives on this super relevant and divisive topic, if you feel like sharing.
Okay, be well. 💙💖
Please keep in mind: this is not meant to discourage anyone from using HR to report, taking legal action, or going public, etc. Each person's needs, sense of safety, and context is unique to them.
Hey so this is nuts. YT was unsubbing people EN MASSE from this channel after they criticized the AI Age Verification (requiring ID) policy, and now, they are potentially going to ban the channel. I'm sharing this video because I think it'd be embarrasing as hell for YT if a video about their retaliation for criticism makes it to Trending.
Re-blog this (and watch the video!) if you wanna embarrass YouTube.
Also I think it'll be harder for them to ban the channel if everyone is talking about this retaliation.
Ironically, his absence takes up much of the space that he's left you in.
The void is thick and suffocating and overwhelmingly presenting in a way that has left you troubled with a yearning ache that embeds much too deep within you. The bed is bigger, there's too much food in the fridge, and the day ticks by all too slow without him to distract you from its tidings.
Away games prove themselves the same every time when Karasu is taken away from you by PXG, his duty as an athlete coming in the way of his duty as your lover. He always has trouble breaking the news to you as well, his heart already beginning to crumble at the sight of your pout accompanied by watery eyes.
And whilst you have him in your phone to be comforted by his face on your lockscreen like a locket and to hear his voice messages to soothe you like a lullaby, none of it will ever prove equivalent to his actual physical being.
Karasu is coming home soon, back to you at last, but your patience has waned alongside the moon whose light has dimmed with each night he had not laid beside you, the warmth gone.
You've reached a threshold.
You miss him. You miss him far too much. And you figure you must attempt to alleviate yourself from this ailment somewhat.
The pillow you straddle—his pillow— stares up at you amidst the darkened bedroom. The lamp lights spotlights you almost humiliatingly, as though it prospered in the guilt you've been accumulating. A loving photograph of you and Karasu sits by the nightstand where the light also illuminates, to which you grab with a shaking hand, hesitant.
The other holds something with more weight, a coldness to relieve you of the heat your fluster has blossomed. You hold up his cologne bottle to better see its crystal, your reflection staring back at you through the prism.
The cap pops off and you aim the nozzle towards the pillowcase, giving one meek spray at it. Just one—enough to evoke the scent of him back to you, but not enough to earn questioning as to why some of his signature scent was mysteriously gone.
A finger traces over the photograph of you and him as one, carving out his features that you envision the pillow to have before you place it down and grip the shoulders of the pillow, encasing your mind as his broad frame as your hips begin to rock against the plushness of it.
It lacks the hardness of his body, but you suppose it'll suffice in the meantime, given that the shivers the friction it creates is a close mimicry of what he'd give you. But even so—it doesn't feel complete.
A bitten lip filters a whimper, your hands frustratingly grapple for the lone bottle again, spritzing two more sprays on the pillow. You land yourself on the fabric of the casing, inhaling deeply and letting the bergamot and cashmere melt in your senses to play alongside your memories.
"There ya go… keep doin' that for me…"
"Yeah, move just like—that, oh fuck—"
"Rock yer hips faster for me… good job babygirl, makin' me so proud…"
Stifled moans turn into whines the harder you press down onto the pillow, hips moving to begin more recklessly when the vision of him starts to form better amidst the darkness. You can see him now as a blur—sweat-misted skin with biceps shining, his low-lidded eyes hazed with lust and love, the mole you kiss every morning and night right under his left one…
The bottle is snatched up again, heedless sprays of his scent enveloping every inch of the pillow now, his scent overwhelming your senses as the tightness in your stomach begins to start tensing to unfurl. You squeal out and bite what would be his shoulder to keep you quiet, a shaken cry of his name debuting your orgasm that's triggered by the musky lavender.
Exhausted, you flop onto the pillow, feeling the ghost of his arms envelope around your waist.
Your ear is pressed up against the warmness of the pillow… but the lack of heartbeat is too loud. The cold air hits you again, reminding of you of where you were and what your disposition.
You sit up and you're faced with the emptiness of the pillow again, the ghost of him vanishing.
Lips warble at the sight of a Karasu-less bed once more, but the tears that frame your eyes don't earn their fall when light floods the room suddenly, the creak of the door earning your attention alongside the added dose of his scent that this time, didn't come from the bottle.
A silhouette whose voice sounds much too familiar appears on the floor, echoing out with a smirk you can hear,
"I'm getting jealous. Ya mind if I have a turn next?"
The Canadian prime minister said he would implement a 25% tariff on $155 billion in U.S. goods.
WASHINGTON — Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Saturday night that his country would respond to President Donald Trump's decision to enact a 25% tariff on Canadian exports to the U.S. by implementing a 25% tariff against $155 billion in U.S. goods.
Trudeau's comments came just hours after Trump signed an executive order implementing tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico and China. Trump's order implemented a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada — excluding Canadian energy products, which would face a 10% tariff. He also implemented an additional 10% tariff on imports from China.
This MAGA Trump Weirdo showed up at a book signing for a Black author & decided to disrupt the whole event while harassing her & being a racist! They really want the blacks to come & start fighting back against their racist & vile behavior, but they won’t give them the satisfaction
Stop saying a MAGA "supporter" It's a CULT. No other president has people going around to select groups of people to solicit a certain reaction to their harassment so MAGA will have proof to justify their hate and retaliation. They are unhinged. They always want to be the victim.
