I’m all good guys!

In case any of you were wondering (not that u were) my retina looks fine for now, but I’m at a high risk of getting a retinal detachment so I have to be on the lookout for any of the initial symptoms.

Stressful day over, blurry vision gone, shark week on steroids: check!

Look, it was really scary when it was happening.

No gory stuff, just a pupil on steroids. My laser surgery went well! It was uncomfortable but pretty quick. My blood pressure was 120/110 and my pulse was 116 lol, the nurse was concerned. I told her I was a little anxious and I had some coffee before I came but that I felt fine and I wasn't going to freak out or pass out or anything. He said the fluid had built up even more and was coming close to detaching my retina for sure. Usually the holes he saw in people my age were not as big as mine. I'm just special. I got to lay down in a bed, and he just had me look in certain directions at the ceiling. The laser was a strange sensation - it lit up bright green and I could see the blood vessels in my eye in my left field of vision. I wanted to look at them! But I knew if I did, I'd probably move my eye too much, haha. Painwise, it just felt like a dull ache in the back of my eye. He had this metal tool that he was pressing under my lower and upper eyelid, and honestly that was more uncomfortable at times. He said I sat like champ and he was really impressed. I wanted to be like "I deal with that kind of pain daily, it was just in a new spot" but I just thanked him. I didn't have any vision in my left eye for 30 seconds after, then everything had a hue of pink for about 2 minutes. After that, it was just really hard to focus because of my pupil being dilated only in one eye. I took some naproxen bc I ended up getting a pretty bad headache, but my eye is finally dilating back to normal so I can type this out properly.

So may be awol for a bit...

I am going to the eye doctor tomorrow for a kinda emergency. I've been seeing arching flashing lights and I may have the start of a retinal tear in both eyes. As such I may have to have surgery to repair it. I'm kinda scared and nervous so good thoughts/prayers are greatly appreciated.
