Summary: A one-shot detailing Sherlock and John's retirement in their Sussex cottage and how it came about. (Not as sad as the title sounds.)

While the future of BBC Sherlock is uncertain, I know our boys will one day be allowed to retire to Sussex. I have been dying to get back into writing but couldn’t get over the initial fear of taking on a big project, so I spent the past hour putting this together. I hope you enjoy!

Can't stop imagining Retired!Holmes and Watson tending to the bees together and collecting honey and reading to each other until one of them falls asleep in a chair and wrapping each other up in blankets and giving each other random forehead kisses or hand squeezes throughout the day and just being fluffy domestic spouses together in general 😩😩❤️❤️

I can’t decide if I like the idea of old retired Holmes loosing even more weight and getting supper skinny and Watson constantly trying to make sure he’s getting enough nutrition whenever he visits or the idea of old retired Holmes gaining weight and getting a pot belly and Watson kindly poking fun at the fact that they’re finally closer to the same weight better
