Hey, is invoking a planetary energy when the planet is in retrograde a bad idea?
Some people have noted it can be a bad thing. I have personally never seen a difference, I don't really believe retrogrades are as bad as many people seemingly make out. I am unsure whether my opinion is less popular in proper occultism (as opposed to popular astrology) but it is based on my own experience.
If we had to wait for Mercury to come out of retrograde before we worked with Mercury, there would be many times a year we simply wouldn't be able to.
Retrogrades are also not real, in the sense, it is how we view it from Earth- it doesn't literally move backwards. The planet doesn't change, all that changes is how we view it. Therefore I tend to think retrogrades have been hyped up and are maybe a modern trend. I may be wrong about this, but it is an assumption I am making.
Much how the sun doesn't just cease to exist at sunset, it is just where we are positioned. I believe we are past such beliefs now.
