In 1975, "social distancing" just meant getting into a bathtub-sized vessel with a golden retriever and hoping the wind took you somewhere with less shag carpeting. There is a certain terrifying bravery in sailing a craft that looks like it was constructed entirely from a weekend's worth of optimism and marine-grade plywood. Notice the captain’s intense gaze, he’s either navigating by the stars or realized halfway across the harbor that he forgot to plug the drain hole. At least the dog seems to have accepted their fate as the world's furriest first mate.
