Have you guys ever heard of Retro Mops?
They're this one dog breed that is very similar to a pug. You know, these guys:
I bet you can hear their breathing from here. Well, Retro Mops fix that. Not in existing pugs, of course, but they have been selectively bred to "become" an earlier version if a pug. This is a pug about a century ago, before selective breeding gave them terrible health problems:
Look how cute! The tail is still kind of a problem, but the rest of it is perfectly fine. Now how do we not contribute to the breeding of modern pugs, but also have a pug?

Their faces aren't smashed in, they don't exhibit signs of dwarfism, and their faces are more proportionate to what a dog should look like.
