"LE MANEGE AUX FLEURS" + "L'ELEPHANT"
by Retro
Imagining a parallel technological progress keeping the design of the Victorian era, long-time Paris tagger Retro translated that concept of retro futurism to the field of graffiti and in 2012 adopted the label Retro Graffitism—and has since expanded on the concept merging graffiti with a variety of varied periods and cultures. In early 2018 Retro created "The Merry-go-round with Flowers" at Rue Jean-Baptiste Dumay and Rue de Belleville in Paris's graffiti-rich Belleville neighborhood. A couple of months later he added "The Elephant” a few doors down Rue de Belleville and a year later when the Limonade lettering was added Retro returned to adapt his elephant composition. @retrograffitism/
