From funny to fierce and everything in between, this glam goofball combines her background in theater with her love of dance, storytelling and taking off her bra. Taryn has performed and competed in festivals and shows across the country, most recently winning “Keepin It Weird” at the 2022 Oregon Burlesque Festival. (but you’ll only need the edge)😉I can hear you applauding already for her - it’s delightfully dynamic Desiré d’Amour!✨ Desiré d’Amour has been performing burlesque for over 20 years. She found her inspiration when visiting the Burlesque Hall of Fame museum in 2000. She joined one of the first burlesque troupes of the neo-burlesque scene, Dane's Dames the same year. Later, as a solo performer, she graced some of the top stages in burlesque such as VaVaVoom Room, Lucha Va Voom, Rock & Roll Strip Show, Tease-o-rama and BHoF / Miss Exotic World. But don’t just look for her on the stage…her burlesque calling continues behind the scenes. Aside from being part of the BHoF Weekender production team, she has produced shows in San Francisco and Tucson, and helped start Tucson's first burlesque troupe. Her proudest achievements are the work she does as Vice Chair of the Board and CFO for the Burlesque Hall of Fame and BHoF Weekender. And she loves to share her tassel and fire tassel twirling expertise to teach others the art of burlesque. Last night’s Haunted! Burlesque Show truly was an evening of amazement, amusement, and enchantment!✨Feeling all the feels, love, and gratitude… I would like to thank everyone that helped make this show so frighteningly fantastic, starting with performers: Bunny Boom Boom, Cha Cha Velour, Dahlia de la Nuit, Desiré d'Amour, Divina Moorephina, Ghoulia, Lola Torch, Nathasha Noir, Taryn Garters, and Tashie Munster, who each worked so hard to bring acts that were incredibly, beautifully creative, thrilling, and entertaining! Huge thanks to our lovely kitten Soso Lovely, who kept our show purring along smoothly, our wonderful light and sound pro Cord Boyd, merch lady extraordinaire Greta Von Grimm, magical videographer Glen AZ, brilliant photographer Rick Bracht, Surly Wench Pub and their awesome staff for all their assistance throughout the evening, and of course our hilariously horrific hostess Stephka Von Snatch for keeping us in stitches all night long!
