A Retrospective of the Mighty Max toy line & animated TV series.
Just for the heck of it and the annual fun of looking back, here's a list of the games that came out this year that I've written about for Gameological, in chronological order of when the article ran:
Hundreds
Fractured
Rise of the Blobs
Sonic Dash
Color Sheep
Triad
Robot Unicorn Attack 2
The Duck Game
Stagediver
Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery
Game & Wario
Alpaca Run
Mass Murderer of Steel
Soundodger
Onomastica
HarmoKnight
Dropchord
Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party
rymdkapsel
Surgeon Simulator 2013
Shelter
Gone Home
The Wonderful 101
140
Oodlegobs
Luxuria Superbia
Proteus
Divekick
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale
Tearaway
Doki-Doki Universe (running after the new year, we were already too far into year-end wrap-ups by the time this came out)
Goodness gracious, what a wonderful year and a supremely fun variety of weirdness (I think I definitely carved out my niche as Gameological's "weird" contributor in addition to being their "music" contributor). The written pieces I still feel the most strongly about are Triad, rymdkapsel and Shelter, and the games that made the strongest impressions on me were definitely Gone Home and Spin The Bottle: Bumpie's Party, both of which were really hard to talk about but made me want to drag people kicking and screaming to experience them.
