Molly Hooper was stubborn.

This was not the first time Sherlock had been made aware of that particular fact. But after an afternoon of watching her carefully sidestep—but mostly just ignore—every approach he’d employed to ferret out the Moriarty secret, he had to give her full marks for stalwart resolve.

Unfortunately for her, no one was more tenacious than Sherlock Holmes. Moreover, he was very good at getting what he wanted. His skills on the matter were second to none. One needed only iron determination and a calculated approach. It also helped that he knew his opponent’s weaknesses better than anyone.

Like taking candy from a baby, really.

Ok guys

I am anywhere between ninety and ninety-nine percent done with the soundtrack for @braincoins‘s "Explorers” series of fanfiction. While I have all but one of the songs I need, I do require some cover art for it. If there are any artists among my followers, I’d be deeply indebted to seeing a soundtrack cover for the story done. I’m open to ideas, but I recommend running them past the author (Braincoins) first. Anyway, I’ll let you know when it’s done.

Explorers Series Soundtrack

I would like to thank @braincoins for this opportunity and challenge which is still underway. Since I normally “score” my own work, I had to consider both what the Brain of this project wanted and how it would fit into a possible scene. These songs are sort of the framework for what a movie version of the Explorers series would look like, with scenes containing no dialogue, montages, or establishing shots. Sherlock returned to the bedroom through the connecting door. Likely, Mrs. Hudson was still milling about the flat; so walking about sans clothes was not an option. The last time he’d done so, the older woman had threatened to take pictures with her mobile and sell them to the tabs. He didn’t doubt she’d follow through on her threat and could already imagine the headlines. Boffin

Nope. Not happening. It wasn’t that he cared if half of London saw his bottom, but his mother would undoubtedly pester him about it and there was now Molly’s feelings to consider. So, a covering of some sort was required. Along with, he considered—realizing Molly’s presence in his flat was now going to be permanent, as were long nights of carnal bliss—better locks on the front door.

Maybe it was also time to institute a few rules with the landlady regarding boundaries. He shrugged to himself, deciding he would discuss it with Molly later and looked around for something with which to garb himself. As Mrs. Hudson had confiscated the dressing gowns he’d hung on the back of the door for her weekly sacrifice to the laundry gods—including, he was irritated to note, the blanket she was not supposed to ever take—and he was not up to the arduous task of actually getting dressed, Sherlock plucked the top sheet from the bed and wrapped himself in it. Then, he went in search of his girlfriend, knowing she’d have coffee waiting for him, and, if he was lucky, a few of those sausages.

Crying, as a rule, fell into one of two categories: One, a manipulative tactic utilized to exploit a societal weakness in human behavior or two, an emotional response to overwhelming feelings. Sherlock has been taught from an early age that people—most especially females—generally used the first category when it came to their interpersonal interactions in order to achieve a goal. Experience had confirmed this theory with limited exceptions. He, himself, had employed this method on more occasions than he could adequately remember. And while Sherlock was loathe to admit that there were times he suffered the abhorrent emotion known as empathy, he had never found himself empathetic when it came to a weeping person. What was the point? The weeper was either trying to manipulate him or simply too weak to control their emotions. In either case, empathy would be terribly misplaced. As such, he generally grew irritated at crying (and the crier) or just ignored the entire scene altogether.

But as Sherlock watched Molly sob, he found himself unable to do either. He felt awkward and impotent and angry. So. Very. Angry.
