you ever look outside and wonder why the streets in your town aren’t straight? i mean, they go off at strange angles and run in bizarre zig-zag patterns and you think who in their right goddamn mind designed this shit to be so haphazard and unorganized?

no right perpendiculars or neat city blocks or tidy housing is allowed in this town, apparently. and you sit back while you look at the plan all laid out, and think holy hell, how much gas do i use on these extraordinarily inefficient routes to the post office?

really, why? why on god’s green earth would people be allowed  to make such poor decisions? was the council drunk at the town meeting? was the city planner so filled with involuntary movement that when his hand went to paper, the road when everywhere else?

and there’s no way to make housing efficient, no way for everyone to have enough space for a backyard, or a side yard, or hell even a front yard, i mean, who doesn’t love having grass outside their door to greet them when they go off to work at a half past noon?
