Sebastian clutched his briefcase like it was his lifeline. The train chugged along, jerking, pulling each car along with effort. He reached up, cupping his hat as the train came to a stop. The rain that had spattered the windows pounded against the moving vehicle heavily. Readying his umbrella, buttoning his black trench coat, he exited the train when its doors finally opened. He was the only one to exit. His journey was long and arduous- being shoved out of a plane in a completely foreign country and surviving was nothing short of a miracle. Traveling from one side of the continent to another, however, was difficult. He never thought he'd make it; years of being captured, tortured, escaping and running had taken a toll on his health. And to think, he'd traveled to another country to see an old friend. Apparently, the letter of his death had been fake, and he never really found out why he was tugged into this desperate struggle for life and scandal, but all he did know was that Ciel was home. Waiting for him to return. He hoped. Every night- on the street, in a jail cell, at a park- he would think of Ciel. How beautiful he was. He would remember how soft his lips were against his, and his smell, too. The feel of his body against his was like a dream, and more than anything he wanted that again. There was no one else. Ciel was his. He'd promised Ciel- told him that he'd prove it. And he had made a promise to himself to propose as soon as he returned. He'd even picked out the ring. His mother's at one point- a ring that his friend had, that he had gone, in part, to retrieve. It was currently in his pocket, but the worries lingered and intensified when he saw no one on the platform waiting for him. Had Ciel changed his phone number? He hadn't gotten a reply. He'd called him at a gas station not too far, and in his brief case, he'd brought back a number of things that he'd found or taken from his friend along the way. He clutched the briefcase harder, umbrella up to shield himself from the pounding rain. Did Ciel move? Did he love another? He lowered his head; this entire time... Had Ciel...? His heart pounded, and he fought the swell of tears. The idea that Ciel had presumed him dead... The idea that Ciel had fallen in love - more so - with another, was completely devastating. He'd rather be dead than find out that Ciel didn't want him. He pulled out the box that held the ring, and held it to his chest. His heart, it couldn't contain it. Completely alone on the platform, he fell to his knees on the wet ground, dropping his briefcase. He was nothing without Ciel. He had nothing to his name- it was all with Ciel. He choked, and sobbed outwardly. He cupped his face, hiding his tears as they mingled with the droplets of rain; his insides squeezed and choked him. "Ciel..." He cried softly, dropped the umbrella, and hugged his own waist. Immediately he was soaked through to the bone, hair wet and dripping, clothes sopped. "... I /need you/..." Once a man, happy, then lost but full of hope, now was home again, but completely broken. @alic3paig3
