Mr. Reuben Lobo and Mrs. Jesminder Lobo
I knew she was getting older, but...somehow mom never seemed like someone who could die.
I’d just returned to the forest with Jupiter when I got the news. I traveled back to San Myshuno for the funeral. Jupe is staying with Grace and Alice - he’s too little to understand what’s going on.
It’s hardest on Cosme, I think, because he looked after her when the rest of us had moved out. And he’s the most like her out of all of us - brash and confrontational, but really a good person deep down.
Tony didn’t just bring Callia and Martin - he brought my best friends from high school, Grace and Alice! I couldn’t believe it!
When mom said she wanted me to have a proper home, I thought she meant a place in the city - or worse, the suburbs. But that wasn’t it at all. She bought me a bit of land outside the park, deep in the woods, and everyone pitched in to help me build a small cabin there. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect home for me and Jupiter!
I could tell that Grace and Alice didn’t want to go back to the city. Who would? So I asked them if they’d like to stay here, to live with me out in the woods, away from civilization. The words were barely out of my mouth before they were both saying yes! It’s going to be so fun to live with my two best friends.
Benny’s wedding was a blast. I was flower girl again, just like at Tony’s, and Tony was best man. My nephew Martin was the ringbearer. Jesminder looked just beautiful in her dress, like a fairy princess - Ben was so lovestruck that when he went in for the kiss, he headbutted her and the ceremony had to pause for a few minutes so she could get her balance back.
The cake they served at the reception was the best I’ve ever had in my entire life...though honestly, Cosme had slipped me a blunt and I was pretty high, so anything would have tasted great.
(note: Flora and Cosme started smoking autonomously 😭 idek)
Daisy gave me a simoleon for the phone. I called mom - I told her everything that’s happened, about the baby, and about Dino leaving. I thought she would say ‘I told you so’. But she didn’t. She told me it was gonna be okay, that she’d drive up and make everything right again. I didn’t know what that meant - I thought probably she was going to pick me up and take me back to the city - but I told her ‘okay’.
The car horn honking woke me up today. It wasn’t just mom - it was mom, and Cosme, and Benny! I’ve never been so happy to see them. I might have cried a bit when they were hugging me...
They also brought Jesminder and Mark. Jesminder and Benny are engaged now, can you believe it? And Mark is living in the apartment with Cosme and mom. Even if my heart is broken, I’m glad my siblings are finding love.
I was joking when I asked, “Where’s Tony, then?”, but mom said, “He’s coming soon. He’s finishing up the paperwork. We’re going to get you settled in a proper home, baby.”
Dear Diary,
I’m obsessed with Lenny and the Rollers...just obsessed. How can they be so perfect! Every single one of their songs makes me smile. And they’re so handsome too...so much cuter than all the boys at my school!! I bet they’re sooo nice in person. I want to see one of their concerts more than anything in the world, but Mom thinks it’s too expensive.
Benny and Tony don’t get it at all...they don’t even like their most famous songs! But Cosme understands. We talk about them all the time.

Ant married his sweetheart Callia in the Myshuno Meadows park. It was a beautiful ceremony - Cosme was his best man, Benny was the ringbearer, and Flora was flower girl, of course. We had a lot of fun at the reception - dancing, drinks, fantastic cake.
I can’t believe my little Antonio is married off! I’ll probably be a grandma soon enough!
(note: yes, I did bite the bullet and buy My Wedding Stories - only after most of the glitches had been patched out. Even so, it was a very fiddly pack to work with. I’m not terribly disappointed, but I’m also not terribly impressed.)
