Throwback Thursday: The 9th Jordan
Pictured, are some of my fondest memories that relate to the Jordan 9 when it originally released, 1993-94. Back then there were no numbers (ex. Jordan 1,3, etc.), each box just read "Air Jordan." There were no nicknames, just "The NEW Jordans." No hype prices, we were just hype AF to have a pair. To add, we really didn't care how many people had them on at the same time; because the focus was on showcasing our individual styles, while the shoes were just that new icing on the cake. Keywords: Individual Style... let's bring that back to the culture. This picture displays the same Jordan 9 worn many different ways by some of the trendsetters from the 90s, even Jordan himself. We all love sneakers, but most have strayed away from originality and style. These days, most think that having a huge sneaker collection equates to being a style icon.... no. Continue to collect your sneaks, but put a little more effort into the ankle up. Find YOUR lane.

Update: “Kung Fu Kenny” Nike Cortez Release
UPDATE:
I’ve received confirmation that the “Kung Fu Kenny” Nike Cortez will be releasing soon! By that, I mean sooner than later! They will retail for $100 USD and will have the same detailing as seen in previous photos that surfaced late 2017. Just in case you missed the last blog, the “Kung Fu Kenny” will have more innovative features such as a black ribbon that goes down the middle of the tongue with printing of “Don’t Trip” printed, red/white/Black color blocking, as well as the Chinese translation of ‘DAMN’ on the forefoot. Even though a release date has not been confirmed, it is good to know that these are definitely releasing to the public! I’ll just throw a little hint though; you know All-Star Weekend is upon us, so you know that there will be surprise releases coming from all angles. See, a lot of people wouldn’t tell you that because they’re worried about getting their own first; that’s why you need loyal friends such as myself. 😂 All jokes aside, keep your eyes and ears open during All Star Weekend as well as a confirmed release date. Check out the new detailed images of the “Kung Fu Kenny” Cortez after the jump!

"CLEAR SOLE" JORDAN IIIs ON THE WAY?
There may be an updated version of the "White Cement” Air Jordan III releasing for the 30th Anniversary. This time around, it will be a little different from the OG or even 2013’s “RETRO 88” quickstrike. Apparently they will feature clear soles and graphics that pay homage to the coveted 1988 Dunk Contest. I honestly think they have decided to FINALLY release the “Clear Sole” Jordan III sample from 2003. It was one of the many (and I mean MANY) Jordan colorways that I’ve seen samples of, but never released. Just like I waited 17 years for the “Dirty Bred” Jordan XIII to Release; I’ll tell y’all about that later. 😉
Honestly, I’m all for Jordan Brand making modifications to tell the history behind the sneakers to the new generation and/or those who are newcomers. Will I cop? Ehhhh... I think I will keep it old-fashioned and continue to cherish my “88s.” Release information is limited at currently, but this release is projected to be extremely limited. Nevertheless, stay tuned to REVAMP26 for updates as more details come to the forefront. For now, check out photos of the 2003 “Clear Sole” Sample below to see “kind of” what this “kind of” upcoming release will look like.... “kind of.”

“OLIVE” AIR JORDAN XIII RELEASING THIS SATURDAY
I personally love when Jordan Brand uses a classic colorway from one silhouette, to remix another classic silhouette. This is exactly why we have gathered here today to discuss the “Olive” Jordan XIII. Let’s be clear, the “Olive” Jordan IX is one of my Top 5 favorite Jordans of all time. Being that they have merged the colorway with one of my Top 5 Jordan silhouettes, this release is definitely a no brainer.
Being that the Jordan IX and the XIII are kind of similar from a color blocking standpoint, it was dope how they executed these. I can’t lie, I was skeptical when seeing that the upper would be all suede in comparison to the leather/suede combo on the IXs; being that I have always liked the contrast of materials and colors on the IXs (and XIIIs the same). You know I’m not one to just hype things up, but I’ve seen these in person already and the quality is CRAZY! The upper is all black and olive suede with “true red” details on the Air Jordan branding, keeping the integrity of the OG IXs we all love. Visually, I feel that Jordan Brand did a great job sticking to the script, while giving us something new at the same time.
The “Olive” XIII hits shelves this Saturday, January 20th for $190 USD. If you want a pair contact me on REVAMP26.com under the “preorder” tab, and I will do the legwork for you! For now, catch a few detailed photos after the jump!

Most think that there is a part 3 to the Jordan 1 “Satin” series due to the photos floating around. On the contrary, it’s actually called the “Aleali May” Jordan 1 and will be dropping 10/28. Her inspiration behind the design: the Shadow Jordan 1, her father’s house slippers, and a satin LA Kings Starter jacket. Check out my new blog discussing Aleali May and her new collab in the blog section on REVAMP26.COM! Link is in the bio! LACE.LORD👟#NewBlog #AlealiMay #Revamp26
