Announcing “Over Coffee with Rev. Dave Thompson”

At long last, I get to tell you about my new weekly TV show, Over Coffee with Rev. Dave Thompson, airing Sunday mornings at 8am beginning September 6th at overcoffee.tv and on public broadcast channels. In this show I will be conversing with my guests about their faith stories. The show features and is filmed in locally owned coffee shops.

I choose to imagine a future where people are not valued because of the vastness of their wealth, the piety of their faith, the inevitability of their sexual orientation, the color of their skin, or the color of their flag. But were people are valued because of the proportion of their generosity, the love of their mate, the suffering people they embrace, and the human progress to which they contribute.

It's reassuring to me that Jesus never said love the sinner, hate the sin. In fact, he put NO (all-caps) qualifications on loving your neighbor. Good thing; I'm a weird neighbor.
